Program 1: Education

Although basic education is considered a free commodity and a fundamental rights of the child, it is still not easily accessible for girls and boys in West Africa, most especially in Liberia, the VOA community and the Jones town community, Brewerville township, particularly for girls whose parents died to Ebola in 2014 and 2015 in Montserrado county

HAS inc is currently working in collaboration with two schools in Brewerville, Montserrado county:

  1. The Better Days Foundation school in VOA Brewerville is one of our partners schools, we have been collaborating with them since 2016

  2. The Emar Kinder Foundation School, Red Hill field,Lower Virginia is also one of our partners schools in Liberia

both schools have an enrolment of (975) nine hundred and seventy five students. In October 2019, a kind gesture from one of our board members (Joel Mall), donated cash for both institutions. Copy books, pencils, pen, backpacks, clothes, shoes, mattresses and food items were bought and distributed among students of both schools.

HAS inc Liberia has also designed a project proposal for girls education and currently seeking financial assistance and sponsors for said project in Liberia. The Rev. Paul Browning academic and vocational institute mainly for girls education will host about one thousand students in Brewerville Liberia when completed.

Liberians suffered from high mortality and morbidity, resulting from a combination of poor living conditions and lack of quality healthcare services, infectious diseases are a major contributor to ill health and lost productivity, for example, one-third of Liberians suffered from malaria each year according to World health Organization.

Upon this background, we at HAS inc Liberia has designed a strategy for community awareness campaign so as to sensitized people on the prevention of malaria and HIV as well. We also work at different schools in Bomi, Montserrado and Margibi counties to educate students on the prevention. We currently run (3) three health care mobile facilities in Montserrado, Migibi and Bomi counties.

Program 3: Church & Evangelism

We believed that the bible is the infallible word of God, and evangelism is the heart beat of God. Our Work at HAS inc Liberia is very holistic. We have been working in collaboration with few churches in Liberia to win the lost souls at all cost. We know Jesus had a specific evangelistic target. He tells us that directly in Matthew 15:24: "I was sent only to help God's lost sheep- the people of Israel ". Of course, that doesn't mean that Jesus didn't love everyone.  He did- and still does! But He was evangelistically targeting the lost sheep of Israel. We also see in Matthew 28:18-20; the great commission, and Jesus came and said to them. “all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me, go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and  of the Son and of  the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you”.

Our evangelism is currently targeting Montserrado, Bomi, Grand Cape mount Margibi and Gbapolu counties. Audible bibles (audio bibles) are being made available  by GALCOM International through our organization (HAS inc Liberia) in three (3) of Liberia's local languages,  namely: Gola, Via and Kpelle.

These audio bibles are to be distributed among the local churches. They will provide the listeners the ability to listen to the scriptures without being required to look directly at written text. We look forward for your support to enable us expand our evangelism campaign in Liberia, we need evangelism instruments like: electric guitars, drums, keyboard pianos, generators and other tools to reach out.

Program 5: Sanitation Services

In Liberia, only 25 percent of the population has access to clean and safe drinking water and only 15 percent has access to sanitation services, 18% of all deaths in Liberia are caused by illnesses related to poor drinking water and sanitation. It is also believed that the lack of safe and clean drinking water and sanitation facilities is the biggest problem students face in Liberia. Our volunteer staffs are engaged in community cleaning up campaigns and creating awareness for safe environments. We are also asking our international partners to reach out in Liberia to help our vulnerable communities with safe drinking water. Clean environment is absolutely essential and brings about good health.

Many of these young people are dropouts but roaming around in the community with no contributions to society.

Therefore, the school authority is using the ministry of education vocational training curriculum to develop the course contents of the training program. Keys areas where the training is concentrated include the following: Carpentry/Masonry, Plumbing, Computer science, Tailoring, Cosmetology, and agriculture (farming as a business).
